Monument Valley Painting, Original Acrylic Southwestern Butte Landscape, 28x22
This Monument Valley painting is an original, one-of-a-kind southwestern landscape of the Arizona-Utah border’s most famous formations. Rust-red buttes rise on the left and right like a stage frame, with a hazy green-yellow valley glowing between them and a pair of smaller blue-gray mesas in the distance. Above, bands of tan clouds with wavy dark-green outlines roll across a turquoise sky. Spiky blue-green agave plants and a scatter of desert shrubs fill the orange sand in the foreground, and bold black linework traces every ledge and shadow with a retro, mid-century travel-poster feel.
The horizontal format suits a sofa wall, a mantel, or the space over a console, and the saturated reds, turquoise, and gold work in southwestern, boho, and eclectic rooms. It is original artwork, hand-painted and signed by the artist, and part of Markus Lewis’s hand-painted desert collection.
Painted in acrylic on a slim 0.5-inch canvas, this 28" x 22" piece is a lighter, more affordable way to own original texture and rich color, and it’s easy to frame to suit your space.
