Grand Canyon Painting, Original Acrylic Southwestern Red Rock Landscape, 20x24
This Grand Canyon painting is an original, one-of-a-kind southwestern landscape from the outskirts of the canyon, looking straight down into the gorge. Stacked sandstone walls in burnt orange and rust fold toward a golden canyon floor, where a ribbon of turquoise winds out of sight toward a distant blue wall. A single white cloud floats in a flat turquoise sky. Heavy black outlines trace every ledge, crack, and shadow, turning the rock into a graphic puzzle of shapes with a retro travel-poster feel, while the brushed acrylic keeps the surface warm and textured.
The earthy palette of copper, gold, and turquoise suits southwestern, boho, rustic, and desert-modern spaces, and it makes a calm focal point above a bed, desk, or fireplace. It is original artwork, hand-painted and signed by the artist, and part of Markus Lewis’s hand-painted desert collection.
The piece is acrylic on a 1.5-inch deep gallery wrapped canvas and measures 20" x 24".
