Gatsby made me do it.

Two bobbed flappers in cherry red and midnight blue, a dapper in a fedora with a bow tie and a raised glass — midnight toasts, champagne bubbles, a bottle on ice. It's the moment the jazz band is still playing and the last tray of canapés is coming out.

I painted this little horizontal for exactly that feeling — small in size, big in story. At 20"x10"x1.5", unframed with the art wrapping the sides, it's built to slip into places big art can't: over a bar cart, above a host stand, tucked into a private dining nook, or in that moody powder room where guests actually stop and look.

Think Palm Beach Art Deco, but with a wink. The graphic black line, the pop of red lipstick and red dress, the gray ground — it plays perfectly in a light, fun deco interior: blush walls, brass inlay, mint velvet. It's not the dark speakeasy, it's the 3pm rosé on the terrace that turns into midnight.
